Profile

Cathy Chan practises both in civil and criminal law. She has a strong interest in criminal law, personal injury and matrimonial matters.

In her criminal practice, she has been instructed in cases involving violence, drugs, dishonesty, triad, money laundering, sexual and traffic offences. She has various experiences appearing in the Magistrates' Courts for trials, plea in mitigation and bail applications, and also in the District Court and the High Court as junior counsel. Apart from appearing for the Defence, she is also regularly instructed to prosecute for the Department of Justice.

In her civil practice, she has appeared in both the District Court and the High Court for trials and interlocutory matters in cases involving contract and commercial disputes, land law, family law, bankruptcy and insolvency matters, employment law and personal injuries matters.
