Kade Chan served as a detective senior inspector at the Organized Crime and Triad Bureau (OCTB) prior to his legal practice. He graduated with First Class in law and was awarded with overseas legal study scholarship. He read law at the University of Cambridge after completing PCLL with subject prize. Kade was the recipient of the Sir Oswald Cheung Scholarship, an award given to the top candidate who intends to practise at the Bar. He was also the General Editor of the Cambridge International Law Journal.
Kade was selected by the Office of the Prosecutor, United Nations (Hague Branch) to assist the Prosecution in Prosecutor v. Madic-a Colonel General leading the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS), who was found guilty by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) of committing war crimes against humanity and genocide during the Yugoslav Wars.
After serving pupillage with Mr. Cheng Huan Q.C, S.C., Mr. Osmond Lam, Mr. Alan M.S. Ng and Mr. Lincoln Cheung, Kade joined Cheng Huan Q.C., S.C. Chambers in 2022. He is developing a practice in both criminal and civil matters, with an interest in defamation and data privacy, which he has extensive exposures of during Cambridge.
